Hatchery larval production of Hamour and  Yellow fin Sea bream       ( Shaam) started in the Center.Shrimp seed prodction will commence by the end of July 2020.

The Center targets production of 15 million of of Fish and Shrimp larvae with an aim to fullfill the food security and revival of marine environment.

The Fisheries Department, Ministry of Municipality and Environment in co operation with General Directrate of   Coast and Border Security realeased 20000 Hamour fingerlings in Qatar waters. This is from the first batch of hamour produced in the Center.
