The Marine Resources Research Center was established: To produce seeds of commercially important fishes and shrimps by artificial methods and grow them to marketable size. To contact biological and hydrographical surveys and research. To train UAE Nationals and fishermen to use aquaculture techniques. To produce quantities of artificial seeds of commercially important fish at low cost and restore them in the sea to increase the natural resources of those species. To cooperate with similar regional and international organizations.
